Feathers of the Grand Light
There are many faiths and beliefs in our world, but the major religion that has spread throughout, not wholly because of the support from the King, but it certainly doesn't hurt, would be The Grand Light.
This organization has many members and the main ones, based on the admittedly glorious wings of their patron, are known as Feathers of the Grand Light, or just Feathers for short. Or Tufts if you're feeling insulting. These members don't have a set job, rather Feathers is the wide term for all of them while there are many subcategories that relate to specific jobs. It can be assumed that each of these titles has "of the Grand Light" after it, but writing it each time is waste of my carefully collected ink.
There are the Messengers who go around the spread the word of their faith. Most people find them to be a bit annoying, which is unfortunate as in most cases as they tend to be kind, and enthusiastic most times though quite annoying at others
There are also the Mediators who are brought along to times of war when trying to make parlay with the enemy, or when trying to settle deals or find common ground. They are a purely neutral party who can actually most always be trusted. You get your corrupt ones here and there, but in this case there is a reason they are so well trusted to do their jobs.
There are the Judges who are much like the Mediators but more investigative. Purely interacting with criminals and deciding guilt. They are masters of their trade and often travel the world with high level Armaments delivering justice as they see fit. I hear a few have taken residence in Mt. Ketterin Prison, but that is unconfirmed.
The Teachers are just Messengers but they stay in one place at all time and cater to a specific group of people
There have been rumors of another group called the Mercies as well. Hidden assassins of the Order who seek and destroy any person, or supernatural entity that is a threat to the world or the people. But rumors are just rumors, and until I find actual proof of this it is no matter to me.
There are so many ways that the Order has integrated their way into various aspect of the land that it's almost suspicious, but to be fair the King wouldn't favor them so much if they were up to something. He always has the best interests of the land in mind even when we don't have a clue what's going. Besides The Order has some bad, suspicious people, but also some of the best people I've met. Much like any other group I've met.
