Yuka is relatively young for her kind and order, but already she has a human apprentice in the form of Harry, and has demonstrated time and time again her reliability.

Personal history
Having been raised into the Shin order from a young age for her kind, Yuka is skilled in the arts of learning and philosophy. Less experienced with the sword than her master, she nevertheless is fairly competant in the ways of Yamachai combat, preferring the use of the nunya blade over the gauntlets her master used.
One of her earlier tests was being sent out in the mountains to kill an Apostate, a large and predatory relative of the Yamachai, mythologised as a savage counterpart. Finding one while on a pilgrimage in the the mountains, she was able to slay it with her blade without her mentor’s assistance, an exceptional feat for one at such an early stage of training.
Education
Years of training from a young age as part of the Order of Shin. This includes in alchemy, martial arts, swordsmanship, theology, philosophy and the sciences.
