Tale of Aric the Deserting Storm Singer

In the chronicles of Storms, there is a cautionary tale of Aric, a Storm Singer once celebrated for his mastery over storms and his insight into the will of @Synthros.   Growing weary of his responsibilities, Aric longed for a simpler existence. One stormy night, he abandoned his post, leaving his sacred Lightning Medallion by the roadside as he vanished into obscurity.   The following morning, Borin, a humble blacksmith, discovered the gleaming medallion. Seeing only its material value, he took it to his workshop to salvage its precious metals. Unaware of its divine nature, Borin began to dismantle the artifact. As his hammer struck, the medallion unleashed its latent power. A blinding flash of lightning erupted, and in an instant, the workshop and all within were reduced to a scorched circle on the ground.   News of the catastrophe spread quickly. Stricken with guilt upon hearing of the tragedy, Aric realized the grave consequences of his actions. The other High Priests declared that by forsaking his duty, he had inadvertently caused innocent suffering. Aric was banished to the depths of the ocean as pentence.   The tale of Aric and Borin became a somber lesson among Synthros's followers: abandoning one's responsibilities can lead to unforeseen and devastating consequences for others. From that day forward, Storm Singers carried their medallions with unwavering commitment, mindful of the far-reaching effects their choices could have on the tapestry of fate.
