Phychite

Red gemstone capable to hold Souls

Properties

Material Characteristics

Phychite has a glassy luster even in it raw form   Phychite is hard, brittle and shatters similar to glass however Phychite is significantly more durable than glass

Physical & Chemical Properties

Phychite is capable of storing partial or whole Souls with approval of the souls owner   The only way to remove the soul is to shatter the Phychite it is stored in
(Warning destroying Phychite with a high quantity of souls can cause energetic explosions)   When Phychite is destroyed stored souls scatter violently and can be stored in other Phychite gemstones. When not collected souls that scatter are not returned to there own and are assumed to fly into space
(Storing scattered souls is to only know way to gain control over a soul without the owners approval

Geology & Geography

Phychite is natrualy created in the mantle in some planets   Phychite can rarely be found during or in the aftermath of volcanic activity   Due to Phychite outrageous demand some Phychite miners arrive at Volcanic Disaster faster than emergency responders   Phychite has not yet been found in space. The reason for this is unknown

Life & Expiration

After a raw sample of Phychite shatters all shards are unable to contain Souls   However sanding down Phychite keeps its magical properties. The Phychite dust left over has little use other than decoration

Everyday use

Phychite is a required component in Enchantment

Cultural Significance and Usage

Phychite has primarily 3 uses Enchantment, Soul Channeling, Philosopher Stone   While both Enchantment and Soul Channeling are used by the socially elite it is usually overlooked for it connections to Bounded Magic due to it having generally low strain on the souls owner   However Philosopher Stone usage and creation is deplorable in almost every culture
