Dynagrass
Dynagrass is general term for a varieties of life on Akcrom that converts wind power into the chemical energy that makes up the base of much of Akcroms food chain
Most of Dynagrass species appear as massive wind catching stalks that can take up most of the available land in an area.
This typically leads to biomes similar to bamboo forest but it severe cases Dynagrass can form walls completely blocking off areas

Anatomy
Dynagrass typically lays down roots and rapidly grows upward in a singular stalk
Dynagrass looks solid on a macro scale but on a micro scale you can see tiny slits the Dynagrass use to catch the wind as it flows through the plant
Dynagrass is structrualy weak and they easily fall over
Genetics and Reproduction
Most species of Dynagrass have 2 sexes though it is impossible to differentiate them without DNA test or killing them
Dynagrass typically die in nature when it grows to tall and they break off of their roots but regardless of what happens to them Dynagrass reproduction begins after death
When Dynagrass die there bodies seal up all of their external holes as they begin to build up internal pressure, while this is happening the Dynagrass outer layer hardens on fills with spores. After an average of half a planet cycle on Akcrom (79 hours) Dynagrass explodes spreading their spores everywhere
After a male and female spore meet they gestate and form into new Dynagrass seedling
A note of caution Dynagrass explosions on Akcrom are comparable to firecrackers and don't pose much of a threat however this is because of Akcrom crushing atmosphere.
On other planets Dynagrass explosions can turn their harden shells into ballistic projectiles capable of piercing flesh

Dynagrass primarly only has 2 stages growth and death
During Dynagrass growth stage they focus most of their energy on growing taller untill either they snap from the wind or their own weight
During Dynagrass death they turn their courpses into bombs in order to spread their spores
Ecology and Habitats
Dynagrass is heavily dependent on Akcrom nitric acid rain and the planets high winds to maintain their rapid growth. If an area does not meets that species of Dynagrass minimum requirements in those fields Dynagrass will grow itself to death faster than it can reproduce
Dynagrass is such a dominate form of life on Akcrom that it is a defining feature of its landscape typical referred to as Dynagrass fields

Dynagrass could be easily domesticated but it severs very little modern purpose other then use as primitive weapon
Wild Dynagrass is harvested on mass and ground up in order to feed many types of domesticated cattle

Generally redder Dynagrass is shorter while brown Dynagrass is extremely tall though this isn't a hard rule
All species of Dynagrass undergo a significant blackening process upon death. The darkness of their color post-mortem is directly proportional to the pressure accumulated, highlighting the need for caution when handling these plants to avoid potential bursts due to high internal pressures.
