Shock Spider

Possessing a permanent electrical charge, the Shock Spider is native to the jungles of Brunivard, and different subspecies can be found at almost every elevation, from the crowded underbrush of the jungle edge through the towering canopy. Webs created by the shock spider are not only sticky, but highly conductive. Strands of the web are held apart from each other by static field effects, meaning the spider web does not need more than one or two anchors to be effective. The shock spider will sense when an insect or small animal is stuck in the web and will shock it with a charge to stun or kill it. Alchemists are good customers for the webs and shock spiders have been known to work as familiars for mages inclined to electricity magic.
