Rainbow Mole Rat
Herbivorous burrowers, Rainbow Mole Rats dig elaborate tunnel systems under the surface of the Brunivard jungle, sometimes stretching for kilometers at a time, to reach the roots and underground plants that they eat. Rainbow mole rats are about 80cm through the body, and dig tunnels that the smallest humanoids could just crawl through. If they weren't afraid of angry rodents with huge cutting incisors protruding from their jaws.
Rainbow mole rats live in large colonies, as many as 300 individuals, almost like social insects. One (very fertile) queen produces all the young, while the rest of the colony raises the young, collects food, maintains the tunnels, and defends against predators.
Rainbow mole rats have brightly colored fur graduated from dark purple on the head through yellow and red in the body, and the three tails can be any color of the rainbow.
