Knights of the Ten Venoms and Hundred Swords
This ancient order was formed by knights of the noble megapede houses. Though they lived in a brutal, primal world, these giant centipedes formed an order based on noble ideals of chivalry that would not reappear for millennia.
Culture
Honor, justice, and chivalry were the core values of the Ten Venoms. Oaths and pacts were sacred, and members would honor their word in all things, even to their own detriment.
Ritual combat settled most disputes that could not be decided through mediation or adjudication. As centipedes, both natural weapons and forged weapons were seen as honorable for combat. Even for ritualistic non-lethal combats, weapons were often coated in venom from the knights' mandibles. The natural venom could cause paralysis, which actually aided in keeping these duels from causing unnecessary deaths.
