Hyena
Hyenas are a relatively common large predator of the plains. With the abundance of large game and the potential to scavenge the carcass of a fallen city, hyena packs can grow to incredible numbers, with some packs numbering over three hundred individuals in a territory. Their laugh-like calls follow cities across the plains.
Basic Information
Ecology and Habitats
Hyenas are efficient pack hunters, working together to take down large animals. They are most abundant in the southern ranges of the plains, where the climate is drier and warmer. They are also adept scavengers, able to thrive on carcasses that only the vultures would compete for.
