Gundrir's Ring
A plain, fat-banded gold ring with a simple emerald set into it. It once belonged to Gundrir Rosenthal, who sacrificed his life to set Gundrir Boll on the move. Allows you to cast Armor of Agathys at a 5th level, once per day. Recharges in the sunlight of dawn. The reflected damage type is Acid instead of Cold.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Formed from gold, the band of the ring channels the energy of abjuration magic very well, allowing a large amount of magic stored in the gem to be accessed quickly. The green of the emerald set into the ring is a symbol of the acid it produces, and its size lets it store a good quantity of sunlight as magical energy.
History
This ring was a symbol of the order that Gundrir belonged to. It was made simply, purely from the gifts of the earth he gathered by hand. The goliath was not one for flashy displays, so the subdued design was intentional.
