Moonnut
Juglans cinerea lunari, better known as the moonnut, is a subspecies of Juglans cinerea, aka the butternut, that is deminative1 to Luna. They were the first crop grown commercially on Luna. They were chosen because their hardy nature allows them to be grown in the extreme cold, which was especially important in the time before fusion reactors were light enough to be transported off of Terra. Today, they are a very common ingredient in Lunar cuisine.
