Summer Camp 2024 Prep! updated week 4!

It's time for Summer Camp

It is that time of year again and I am super excited! I don't have a ton of free time but I really want to put in the writing and the work. Time for Homework!!!

Week One Prep

-Assignment 1 I really make a shift in my world to focus more on the stories behind the leaders and organizations that influence my world. Especially the heads of cities, villages, etc. I am hoping to use this to really give more reason to why things are the way they are.
  -Assignment 2 Lasty time I achieved more than I expected with my busy schedule but I still only achieved copper. My goal this time is to get a silver badge!
  -Assignment 3 I am terrible with tags! I have done better with categories but tags are my weakness. I have made myself a list of tags to add, use and incoporate that I plan on consulting as I go through summercamp. I also decided on a summercamp tag for myself of CampHuggle24.
  -Assignment 4 I recently did a lot of foundational, and meta updating but I have made some specific notes of consistency and corrections to keep the balance my world needs.
  At the end of the day, I am just excited to see what this summercamp inspires for myself and my world. Have fun everyone and HAPPY SUMMER CAMP!  

Week 2 Prep

-Assignment 1 The talk of refuge in world has gotten me started on pulling together the ground work for a refuge for those closest to my world's seat of power. These people are under the most scrutiny and my world is obssessed with balance and harmony. Those in power and close to power would be expected to be perfect examples in order to enforce and mantain that balance. They aren't allowed to have bad days but, what if there is no way not to? I want to create a mental refuge and also maybe some physical ones for various members of the elite to further build on the obsession and demand in my world. \   -Assignment 2 My biggest cheerleader is also my accountability partner. Last year I told my husband my goals and he helped me stick to them with reminders, and snacks, and most importantly treating my writings as "bedtime stories" he is invested in whatever I am invested in and doesn't allow me to talk negatively about myself. He is ready to do the same thing again for this summer camp. Plus my kids want more lore in their next session so I gotta hop to it!   -Assignment 3 I have given a major overhaul to the majority of my world's layout. I have a few more ideas I am playing with that I may also implement but I am not sure if they are the right direction.   -Assignment 4 I am not a css wizard by any means but i did use it to get rid of some theme styling that I personally did not think went with my world. Now I can focus on the content and not be distracted by the aesthetics. Great reminder to do it now.  

Week 3

A small sampling of some of the inspirations I have collected for my world based on this weeks homework. My world is older but still have plenty of room for growth. .
Random thoughts:
what is considered the "norm" in relationships, families, etc. My world is supposed to be about balance and harmony gone wrong. would they be against strong feelings like love? would there be exceptions or government propoganda? Do the people in my world notice or care about gender, sexuality, etc?

Week Four

Assignment 1:
The nature of the ruling government of my world tries to pretend everyuthign is intentional so I picked a few locations thaat I think might have decay and wrote some ways they might try to spin it as "intentional"
Assignment 2:
I wasn't originally going to but, between this week's assignments and my birthday, i decided it was time to replace the keycaps on my keyboard that were worn down. THe new look is giving me motivation to look for reasons to type. I also decided to change out the lighting at my desk to get rid of glare.
Assignment 3:
I did lot of work on my homepage on week one but I went ahead and did a look over. As much as this is about sharing my world, I also think it is important to be asthetically pleasing to me.
Assignment 4:
My profile was basically empty before this. I have more work to do but I like where it is now that I filled it in some.

I AM SO READY FOR SUMMERCAMP TO START!
