Northwest Region: The Wolverine Clan
The Wolverines occupy a sparsely populated cold forest region just south of the Vastlands between the northern parts of the Raven and Wolf territories. They live in small families or alone and are hostile to outsiders other than their Wolf neighbours, with whom they occasionally trade and intermarry. The Wolverines have access to high quality metals that none of their neighbours are able to produce. It is not known whether they make these themselves or have an Underearth source. Wolverine weapons are highly prized, but clanfolk are forbidden by their Elders to trade them to outsiders. Because of the scattered population, policing is difficult and violations of this ban are common. Those who are caught selling arms or teaching the clan’s secret martial art are put to death. Escaped condemned Wolverines often become bandits but are also highly valued as mercenaries.

Structure
Age is considered equivalent to authority, and a council of elders has say over anything affecting the clan as a whole. Wolverine Survivalists regularly report to the council to keep it apprised of what is happening throughout clan territory.
Agriculture & Industry
Food is almost entirely hunted and foraged as the frozen ground is unsuitable for agriculture. Some of the clan lives within the cave networks of the Raven Mountains and grows mushrooms there.
