The common use for sand is to gather the materials to make the sand lanterns. the people will dye the sand after they gather the sand into different colors and will make the sand lanterns.
If you are not gathering these sand to make the sea lanterns you are laying at rest relaxing on the sand.
Refinement
Sand can be used as soon as you gather it. There is no need to do anything to the sand before you use it.
Environmental Impact
There are a few hazards that come with the sand.
the first hazard is called silicosis - which means and in reversible lung disease from inhaling fine dust from the sand causing shortness of breath, a cough and fatigue, potentially leading to lung failure.
The second hazard that comes from sand is the general dust that will cause irritation to your eyes nose and throat and skin and possibly a flu like symptom.
