SE04 : EP26 - Red Zone pt.13

The party fights a long and haggard battle They slay three of the book demons. But as a fouth appears, they need to retreat. Gathering up as many books as there arms can carry and return ot the safe floors of the library.   Worn out and spent on resources they decide to call it a day. Summoning Zachary to pick them up to head back to Precinct four. Walking back to the platform they observe the ongoing clean up of the wyrm they defeated earlier in the day. Ryder notes the strange plumes of smoke up in the blister coils moving with strange sparks of seemingly living flame in the air. They board the air taxi and whisked away to the Titian's keg.   They claim a large booth for the party and begin to soak in some relaxation. The barkeep brings out a set of flagon for each of them. They drink and talk and eat. Yith is the first to head to bed. About fours in a Symic messenger brings a wooden box with the nine books the library released for the group, in addition was the payment for the tomes the library kept. As the night rolls on Ryder retires. Cass stands up and loses her balance. Daphix and Parathas consider if they drink on but decide to help Cass to her room and call it a night.   They next morning Ryder and Yith head off to the baths, before they leave they are beckoned to collect two parcels that were delivered in the night. Later when the part is all together they open them. One is a collection of intel on Zonot 52. The other in a magical delivery of goodies in thanks for dispatching the wyrm. A staff of fungal decay, ring of bureaucratic order, and 2500gp. Also they have a pair of gloves but they will need to be identified.   They head out into the city to find a mage. Once inside a street tent, an eccentric owner excitedly examines them. After tossing them in to glass testing chamber declares them as "Gloves of Evolution." Seeing them as uniquely usefully they are gifted to Cass.  They start to make plans for traveling back to the zonots.
