Message Slates
Book sized half-inch thick slabs of grey slate. When written on they produce the same message on a twin slab that lives in Horizon. It allows slow but reliable multi-emotional communications with the various planes Horizians find themselves on.
Utility
When a user thinks of the place where the slate's twin resides anything written on the slab appears in real-time on the face of the other slate. This makes accidental use of anyone other than Horizians unlikely.

Crafted by specially licenced and trained wage wrights.

They are regulated by the city they are rarely found outside official use
