The Free City of Thane was renamed Freeport on this day.

The leaders of the City, the Common Guilds, determined to rename to city and form a City-State of sorts. As they needed no other government to help them, they renamed the city to show this non-allegiance to any but themselves. They still remained open to all.   It is not a coincidence that this occurred immediately after expelling Korlann Rule from the Isle of Jonin.
