Space Travel & Extraterrestrial Life

One of the defining characteristics of the Honarth RPG setting is the absence of space travel and extraterrestrial life forms. The planet of Honarth is a self-contained world, with no known means of interstellar travel. As a result, players can expect to encounter only the native species of Honarth during their adventures.

Space Travel

Space travel is prohibited in the Honarth setting, and players will not have the ability to leave the planet or interact with extraterrestrial life forms. This is a consequence of the planet's isolated nature and lack of interstellar travel capabilities. Characters may encounter references to the history of space exploration and possibly ruins of past attempts but they will be unable to travel to space themselves.

Extraterrestrial Life

There are no known alien species present on Honarth. This means that characters will not encounter extraterrestrial life forms during their travels. This is a consequence of the planet's isolated nature and lack of interstellar travel capabilities.

Implications

The absence of space travel and extraterrestrial life forms on Honarth has a number of implications for gameplay. For one, it means that players won't have to worry about dealing with the challenges and complexities that come with interacting with alien cultures and societies or intergalactic politics. Additionally, it allows for a greater focus on the conflicts and dynamics within the planet, such as conflicts between different factions, corporate monopolies, criminal activity, and more.
