World Sunderer
A heavy crystal hafted double handed war axe known by dawrves as "the world sunderer", this artefact is at least 100,000 years old, if not older.
Last possessed by Emperor Dokholi Zhelyazo the World Sunderer (greedily grasped at by Grundark) possesses the following qualities if attuned by a dwarf (takes up two attunement spots):
- deals 2d12 +5 magical slashing damage
- critical 19-20
- critical vs creature with spell casting ability 17-20
- +5 attack roll
- Ignores damage reduction
- Slashing damage resistance/vulnerability (if possessed by opponent) reduced by one category
- 1x long rest attacker may elect to deal maximum damage
- 1x long rest may automatically elect (before dice are rolled) to have automatically hit and dealt a critical hit
- 1x long rest may add 2x proficiency bonus in damage to sucessful attack and take the same damage in force damage (cannot be redirected or prevented) in turn
- after each long rest controller makes DC 13 charisma save (no automatic success) or be controlled by the World Sunderer. This savings throw increases by one each week attuned by the controller
- at the end of each long rest reduces HP maximum by 2x proficiency bonus of the controller
- no creature will willingly give up possession, and can only give up possession after they have failed three death saving throws
- on attunement, the controller gains disadvantage to all attack rolls that are not made with the World Sunderer
- on attunement, the controller loses 4 on intelligence, wisdom or charisma (randomly determined) and gains 2 on strength or constitution (randomly determined)
- on attunement, the controller gains resistance to slashing, piercing or bludgeoning damage (randomly determined) and vulnerability to slashing, piercing or bludgeoning damage (randomly determined but different to the resistance type)
