Loa
- Dwellers of the Wyrding they are elder beings of slippery and frightening force
- Where the Loa dwell and move, the Wyrding shapes to the emotion of the Loa
- Arcana always portrays the Loa with one foot in the Spaces and one foot in the Places, and highlights the Loa as occassional intermediaries between the Elder Gods and lesser beings. Mama Tet has told the Starless Communion that the Elder Gods are not the only ancient and forgotten beings that the Loa can connect to.
- Loa exist and thrive on emotion, effortlessly manipulating the emotions of their surrounds. In the Ephypso Orixa Codex, a copy of which is allegedly possessed by the Creed of Pisceous Strange says there are six root emotions (fear, anger, sadness, surprise, joy, love) with more than 100 non-root emotions (e.g. cheerful, amused, irritaed, enraged, insecure, sentimental, peaceful etc) manipulated by the Loa
- Their origins are unknown, appearing in the oldest histories and occassionally throughout latter day history
- All Loa are associated with certain colours, objects, places and times (cosmic and mundane)
- They may respond to their sacred rhythms, songs and symbols presented by lesser beings and if they accept these offerings, they may grant a request or favour
- The Loa must be served, not prayed to, and cannot be controlled by any being of power lesser than the equivalent of an Elder God
- Zaka rituals are among the practices used to call to the Loa
- Are able to "ride" mortals as part of a ritual or when granting power or if the deem it worthwhile to be called upon during a ritual.
- Can grant powers, bestow blessings or smite with curses depending on successful ritual
- Loa aggressively push the momentum of battle in their favour or swing tempo in their favor by power boosts, rapid combat keywords, cataclysmic spells and bursts of arcane generation
- Loa's fervent destructiveness makes it easy for them to destroy magical items, creatures, objects and even beings of demi-power and higher.
- Loa's emotional passions can also influence others into not blocking or goad others into attacking their enemies.
- Loa will create and call creatures out the Wyrding or summon elder beings that can savage an enemy, while using powerful high-end spells to finish their oppoents off.
- They seek to obliterate their opponents as quickly as possible before their opponents can adjust their strategies.
All Loa possess the following supernatural abilities, qualities and potency:
Arcane alignment- They are able to manipulate Elderday artefacts and magic items without requiring attunement, alignment or connection nor the need to study the item first
- If other creatures attacka Loa or target it with harmful effects, and the Loa is not reduced to 0 hit points before its next initiative count, the Loa may use a bonus action on its initiative count to deal damage to a the creatures that attacked it or targeted it with harmful effects
- The maximum number of creatures the Loa can retaliate against is equal to the Loa's proficiency bonus
- The Loa can choose which/if any creatures it retaliates against
- Each Loa has a different form of retaliation
- All Loa have advantage on savings throws against magic and other magical effects
- If a Loa is immune to a type of attack, it will always be vulnerable to a type of attack
- If a Loa fails a savings throw and/or proficieincy check it may choose to succeed instead
- Each Loa has a different number of Legendary Abilities and/or Savings Throws per day
- All Loa have innate spellcasting abilities
- Each Loa's innate spellcasting is based on a different statistic
- Each Loa's innate spellcasting abilities are different
- All Loa have access to Elderday magic and magical abilities
- If a creature within range is reduced to zero hit points, the Loa can use a reaction to take a vicious entertainment action
- Each Loa has a different vicious entertainment
- If any creature starts its turn within range it is affected by the Loa's Emotional Presence
- The effect and savings throw varies from Loa to Loa
