Jinkol's Gnome Candle Holder

A small magical item from the Elderdays, Jinkol's Gnome Candle Holder craves construction and design, desperately seeking mechaniphiles and can align with a creature of sufficient intellect to reveal unseen blueprints.   A creature may seek to align to an individual Gnome Candle Holder by spending 10 minutes holding the Gnome Candle Holder in quiet contemplation (i.e. no movement, no actions, no bonus actions, no reactions, no interaction with the world around them) and making a DC 15 intelligence save at the end of the contemplation.   On a failure, the creature takes 2d12 fire damage that my not be prevented or redirected, and temporarily reduces the creatures maximum hit points until a long rest. No-one may attempt to align with the Gnome Candle Holder for 24 hours (the failed aligner for one year).   On a success, the Gnome Candle Holder becomes aligned to the creature. It does not take up a regular attunement slot, and a creature may have a maximum number of Elderday Gnomes (e.g. Copper Gnomes, Festoon Gnomes, Gnome Candle Holder, Jar Gnomes, Metrognome, Tartan Gnomes, Ticking Gnomes) aligned to them equal to half zis proficiency (rounded down).   The Gnome Candle Holder is aligned creature for up to one year after which if the time expires, it is destroyed or it has used its maximum number of actions allowed (see descriptions below) the Gnome Candle Holder vanishes and reforms within one year in a random location within a distance equal to the aligners proficiency x d6 miles.   Once activated the Gnome Candle Holder's area of effect is fixed to the location where it was activated out to a radius of 30". If removed from the area while activated from the area of effect the Gnome Candle Holder vanishes as above.   If an aligned creature is within 15" of the Gnome Candle Holder ze may use an action to activate one Gnome Candleholder in either its Glorious Design or Anvilier form. Once a form is chosen, this is the only form the Gnome Candle Holder can take while aligned to a creature:   Glorious Design

• The Gnome Candle Holder grants the aligned creature the ability to manufacture any one item within the area of effect using 50% less materials, 50% less cost and 50% less time than normal
• The aligner can have assistance during the items creation, but must spend at least 90% of the time required to create the item on the creation of the item
• Glorious Design may be activated a maximum number of times equal to 2x the aligner's proficiency bonus over the one year
• If a gnome aligns with a Gnome Candleholder, it can reduce the time, cost and materials required by an additional 10%

  Anvilier

• The Gnome Candle Holder grants the aligned creature the ability to manufacture any item within the area of effect using 10% less materials, 10% less cost and 10% less time than normal
• The aligner can have assistance during the items creation, but must spend at leas 50% of the time required to create the item on the creation of the item
• If a gnome aligns with a Gnome Candleholder, it can reduce the time, cost and materials required by an additional 5% on a number of occasions equal to 2x its proficiency bonus
