Jinkol's Copper Gnomes

Tiny magical items from the Elderdays, Jinkol's Copper Gnomes can align with a creature of sufficient intellect to seek out and attune other magical item.   A creature may seek to align to an individual Copper Gnome by spending 10 minutes holding the Copper Gnome in quiet contemplation (i.e. no movement, no actions, no bonus actions, no reactions, no interaction with the world around them) and making a DC 15 intelligence save at the end of the contemplation.   On a failure, the creature takes 2d8 magical peircing damage that my not be prevented or redirected, ignores temporary hit pounts, and temporarily reduces the creatures maximum hit points until a long rest. No other creature may attempt to align with the Copper Gnome for 24 hours and the creature may not attempt to align with the Copper Gnome for one year.   On a success, the Copper Gnome aligns to the creature. It does not take up a regular attunement slot, and a creature may have a maximum number of Elderday Gnomes (e.g. Copper Gnomes, Festoon Gnomes, Jar Gnomes, Metrognomes, Tartan Gnomes, Ticking Gnomes) aligned to them equal to half zis proficiency (rounded down).   The Copper Gnome must be within 15" of the creature to be activated.   The creature aligned with the Copper Gnome may use an action to activate one Copper Gnome in either its Magical Bloodhound or Artificers Happiness form.  Once a form is chosen, this is the only form the Cooper Gnome can take while aligned to a creature:   Magical Bloodhound
  • The Copper Gnome transforms into a small copper clockwork construct of whirring, clicking, shuffling adoreableness with AC = 8 + 2x creature's proficiency, HP = 4d6 + 2x creature's proficiency, resistance to all non-force/phantom energy damage and non-magical bludgeoning slashing & piercing damage, 1x ranged attack 5" reach = creatures proficiency, magical piercing damage = creatures proficiency + d4, speed = 30", saving throws = creature's saving throws (without proficiency bonus).
  • For one year or until destroyed, the Copper Gnome will follow the creature it is aligned to and as long as it is in within creatures proficiency bonus x 10" of the aligner.
  • The aligner can use a bonus action to "detect magic" as per the spell equal to a numberof times per long rest equal to the half the aligners proficiency bonus (using either the gnome or the aligner as the centre point for the spell)
  • The Copper Gnome takes all actions based on instruction issued by its aligner as a bonus action
  • If the Copper Gnome is destroyed or the one year expires, the Copper Gnome reforms within one year in a random location equal to aligners proficiency x d6 miles
  • If a gnome aligns with Copper Gnome, the range the copper gnome can be from the aligner is doubled, AC increases by one, hit points increase by two and one additional detect magic per long rest is available
Artificers Happiness
  • The Copper Gnome remains a tiny inert magical item that grants the Aligner one additional attunement slot for one year
  • If the Copper Gnome is destroyed or the one year expires, the Copper Gnome reforms within one year in a random loaction within aligners proficiency x d6 miles
  • If a gnome aligns with a Gnome, the Aligner may align one addtional item for 24 hours a number of times equal to the Aligner's proficiency bonus (take 10 minutes to attune with the item) over the year the Copper Gnome is aligned to it
