Jatoni Alga Aru's Orb

Jatoni Alga Aru is an extinct Great Old One that ceased to exist during the fabled Elderday era of the Bronze God's Dreamworld.   Jatoni Alga Aru's Spheres are creations of its servants that escaped their masters control and now serve no purpose other than to exhaust all magicians.   The Spheres cannot be attuned or controlled by any creature.   Any creature casting a spell within 120" of a Sphere must either:

• use a spell slot of one level higher to cast the spell; OR
• take a level of exhaustion to cast the spell using a standard spell slot

The Spheres are phantasmal with a 10" diameter, with near zero mass and can pass through most objects and can be passed through by most objects.   If no creature casts a spell within range, every 2d12 rounds a Sphere will randomly move d6 x 10" horizontally and randomly up to d3 x 5" vertically; but never beneath a physical surface nor more than 300" above a surface.   If any creatures cast spells that are effected by the Sphere, at the end of the round, the Sphere moves towards the magician that cast the highest level spell by a distance of d12 x 10". If two or more magicians cast the same level spell, the Sphere randomly selects a magician to move towards. When moving in this manner, a Sphere will dup beneath a physical surface and/or move more than 300" above a surface.
