Green Comets ahoy 1479.04 to 1479.06

Start in the the north-west. Helegu country in the territory of the Talinessee, former Golden Empire of 200km from the former capital Terminand Zand.   Gimblenock sees a green comet in the sky, heading north.   Dwayne hears a voice whispering (something tentacled) to Gundark, who is responding. Dwayne goes to kick Gundark.

"Sless loves Gundark" Gundark appears to be having night terrors. Wakes up when Dwayne kicks him.

Ophion wakes at the same time from a nightmare. Recalls a vast chamber, kilometres across. Distressed.   Dwayne and Ophion hear dim screaming from the north, and see multi-coloured lights streaming into the sky. Auroura effect lights lash the sky and ground. Glimpse Essen breifly turn back into circuitry.   Essen dreams she is with Ophion and Gimblenock in a cavern, terraces line the edge. 'Things' are in the terraces. 'Radial symmetry'   Ophion mentions to party the similarities between "Sless loves Gundark" and "Valt loves the Professor". Gundark communes with his ancestors.   People running toward party, away from the north. Three constructs (one named Ashaniguliti) emerge from the sacred lake. They're communing in an Elder language (Abberant). Using telekinesis to kill civilians. Possibly came from Atlantis.   Crowd are Followers of the Light Revelation (The Revelation).   Gimblenock sees through Essen's eyes and spies two gnomes, laden with machinery, observing the giant constructs. Operating old gnomish devices, from before the Arceteuthis event.   Gimblenock observes gnomes are using one of the sacred machines (Invincibility Binding - gives resistance to all damage and existing resistances become invulnerabilities. Grants flight.  The downsides of which there are undoubtedly many are unknown)   Ophion gains auto-succeed on one roll from something akin to Crystal Dawn.   Essen and Gimblenock climb the waterfall to confront the gnomes. The others approch the Ashaniguliti and attempt to intimidate them into leaving. Ophion intimidates them to a standstill.   Ophion Dimension Door's to the gnomes, kicks one and grabs the other for interrogation.   Gimblenock attacks other gnome for 79 damage.   Ashaniguliti were unaware of the gnomes.   Ophion removes two pieces of the gnomes Invincibility Binding.   Gundark starts speking the language of the Great Old Ones. Karsus Chella is coming for Holocene.   The Ashaniguliti continue to retreat.   Ophion removes more Invincibility Binding.   Wounded gnome blinks out of area. The Ashanguliti reach the portal and see their master, the mind of a Titan - a sliver of the mind of Karsus Chella. INT check. Ophion and Dwayne auto-pass.   Ophion receives an Inspiration he can share with a party member at a later time.   Gelkit - name of gnome in Ophion's custody. Submits to party. The Axis Gnomes have a number of items. Amphitheatre of Entanglement (also a Scred Gnome Machine).

One of the Axis Gnome has become a Starspawn Seer.

4) How did they open the portal

The green comets are creations of the Eldar Things. The Axis Gnomes have spent centuries communing with the insentiate minds to awaken the machines.

The green comets are constructs of the Elder Things.   Sless is THE Mind Flayer   The comets will activate the Amphitheatre. This links the twelve worlds of the Alin to Holocene.   The Flames of the Gnomes started to extinguish during the Witch Wars.   The Amphitheatre of Entanglement was created by the Alin and the Axis Gnomes. Controlled by the Mirror Host.   Gelkit phases out. Essen attempts to retieve the pieces of the Invincibility Binding. Succeeds. Pieces are ancient. Forged in Atlantis. Crafted without use of the Crucible.   Party heads to Termanind Zand.   That night, more borealis lashes the land.   Next day, an Alin Xerarch appears before the party.
