Shoreliners
Along the coastlines lie countless settlements, large and small. Most are ordinary enough. But along every stretch of shore, there is always at least one peculiar little village. Its people are reclusive - so much so that they drive away any outsiders. Like their neighbors, they live off the sea, yet they seem to draw more from it than anyone else: they always know where the fish are, their ships travel faster and farther, and they never seem to sink. They reek of fish and brine. And though they usually pay lip service to whatever faith is expected of them, they are rarely devout - at least, not to the same god as everyone else.
Among those who study such matters, they are known as the Shoreliners - a name that conveys little beyond the obvious. They may be the most numerous cult in the world: The Church may burn one village, or a dozen, yet there are always more, clinging to some remote and desolate strand. Often, when the cult-hunters arrive, they find the Shoreliners already gone - vanished into the sea, leaving their boats behind. From time to time, fragments of diaries or letters are recovered, and only through the painstaking reconstruction of these documents has anything been learned about what these quiet, reclusive folk truly believe.
The World Below
The Shoreliners believe that ███████ is but a ███████ in the ██████ of the ████. There is another - far more ████████, far more ████████ - that dwells in the ███████ and ██████ parts of the ██████. The Shoreliners themselves are merely an ███████ of this █████████, sent to live for a ███ beyond the ██ and ██████ what transpires there. This is not considered an ███████████ - the ███████ of the ███ care little for what █████ do upon their ███, ██████ beneath the █████; nothing within the ██████ of ██████████ can truly ███████ the █████'s ████ or those who ████ within it.
According to the Shoreliners, the ████ is not ███████ was. A ██████████████ once █████ here, with ██████████ and ██████████. The ██ was not then █████ with a ██████████, █████ or revealed. All of this ██████ with the coming of the ██ in the ███.
The ██ in the █████████ in ██████ - an █████ of ███████████ and █████████████████████. When his gaze first █████ toward this ████ cannot be ███, for his ████████████ with the ███ of █████████ such █████ meaningless. What is ███████, however, is that he once ████████ a ███ in the ████, using it to alter the ████ of ██████ itself - ██████ the ████ of ███ until the █████████ more suited to his ██████. Rather than ██████ a single ███, the ██ in the █████████████████, ████████ the ████ to his █████ and ███████ forth a █████████ to his own design. He is the ███████ of █████, the ███████████, and his ███████████ to ███████ his ███ - to enact another ████████ of ██████ and ███, drawing the ████ ever closer to his ██████ and ███████.
It is unknown how many times this has ████████████, or what the ████████████ was ███. But this is not the ████ that first ████ - it is an ████████████, ███████ for a ██████ beyond █████████████. And when it ██████ again, all ██████ and █████ alike will █████ - will ████ have been, save in the memory of gods.
