Bombastus von Hohenheim
(a.k.a. Neozosmos)
The master alchemist and founder of the The von Hohenheim Company. He was an idiosyncratic magician, but his work on elementals inspired James Brooke to write his work on the principles of embodiment, and his name for the various elements - gnome, sylph, salamander, and undine - are still used today.
