Jonas Grey
Captain Jonas Grey is the Caravan Captain of the Guard and has been for the past eleven years. Jonas came to prominence when coming to to the aid of the former Captain of the Guard, Captain Artus Fell. Much younger than Jonas, a good leader, but one who could be brash and was possibly less capable than he believed himself to be.
Even knowing that, it never made sense to Jonas that Artus engaged with the Yeti before he had summoned the guard. It was destroying an empty wagon, which brought then Sergeant Jonas and members of the guard running to aid Artus. But Artus was already wounded, badly. The Yeti must have come down from the mountains to feed during the especially cold winter that year.
The Yeti, bigger than any Jonas had ever even heard of, was finally taken down by him and the rest of the Caravan guard. But Artus was dying and could not be healed. He knew Jonas as someone who could see the good in everyone, who would help anyone, and who was a natural born leader. So on his death bed Artus recommended Jonas for the job he has held ever since.
Jonas enjoys his role as Captain of the Gaurd. He is motivated by a desire to see people safe and happy when they visit the Caravan and he also makes sure Caravan members are treated well by attendees. His closest friends are Bree Dunnaford and her constant companion, Blue. Bree and Jonas can often be seen walking together and checking in on the Caravan's wellbeing.
Captain Jonas Grey In The Campaign
Much like his Sergeant, Bhel Krahd, Jonas could petition the adventurers to take on a dangerous mission for the Caravan. These tasks would be more complex and of higher stakes than those assigned by Sergeant Krahd.
Jonas is fair and likable but his word is law when it comes to the safety of the Caravan
He keeps a close eye on Galt, Martus, and Snips. He knows they all have a propensity for trouble.
