Santrel first interacted with Avhaara on the morning before she left Crying Leaf. She dismissed him at first because he was too arrogant, but after she ran in trouble she asked him for help. He stole one of the whistles to open the thorn walls of the village but afterwards demanded money. Avhaara paid him quite some gold before she left.
