Briga Townsguard
Structure
The Briga townsguard is relatively small and has a simple command structure with one captain, one substitute and fourteen other members in its ranks. In addition, the townsguard can call upon twenty other trained archers from the populace and the hunters' guild when in need.
As the town of Briga rises in status, so does the number of its inhabitants, transients, and visitors. The alderman, having recognised this development and ensuing problems from the increasing size of the settlement, has requested the baron, Jaspar Arlstaph, for permission and funds to expand the guard already a few months back. So far, the missive remains unanswered, as the baron is traveling to conduct business in foreign courts, and his steward has not deemed it necessary to respond to the changes.
Despite the less-than-ideal conditions and funding, the Briga Townsguard is still well-trained and in good fighting shape. This is due to their Captain's effort to bring everything he had learned during his upbringing and subsequent training in the king's army into his new post in Briga, and teach its members to advance their skills.

Assets
The guardhouse of the Briga Townsguard stands at the northern edge of the marketplace. It is three stories high and features sleepquarters for the guards on duty, a cellar, a kitchen, and the permanent living quarters of Guard-Captain Corrin Vankrellen and his substitute, Fennric, who both have a balcony overlooking the marketplace. In the back of the building, the guard has a small backyard with simple training grounds, complete with an armory and stables for the few horses they possess, namely Corrin Vankrellen's horse Heive and Fennric's horse Cider.
The guardsmen do all their chores and duties themselves; this includes cooking, cleaning, and maintaining the guardhouse grounds as well as tending to the horses, which serves as a testament to what characteristics and what kind of work-ethic a guard has to bring to the table to serve in Vankrellen's townsguard.
