Mandifool

The immobile creature has a symbiotic relationship with Lucid Wasps. The Mandifool is too slow to capture prey, and so hosts a hive of Lucid Wasps to track down and lure prey into its maw. They sting and infect prey, taking control of the prey’s motor functions. The wasps use the protein-rich digested byproducts to nourish their own larvae. To reproduce, the Mandifool will infest a victim with its larvae and then release it. The host regains control and loses memory, living up to 19 years while the larvae develops. A blossoming Mandifool releases a bio-engineering pheromone that can convert several different wasp species into its own personal Lucid Wasp colony.
