Miraric of Appley
You knock me off my feet with your sweet sensations! Oh, sensations!Miraric of Appley is a fairly well known bard. When you mention the name, Miraric, many residents of Appley often recognise it. If he weren't locked up in the Appley Jail, you would likely see him perform his music at the Hungry Angel. He is mostly known for mixing his vocals with sections of his Bagpipe. However, there is some controversy with this bard as he currently locked up in the jail of Appley. Apparently, he has connections to the Circuit.
Background
While he was enjoying his freedom, Miraric would boast about his local upbringing in Appley. He would share tales of his youth on the streets of Appley. He doesn't mention much about his family. As far as anyone knows, he doesn't have any.
He does express, almost at every performance, his love for music. He can play many instruments, however, his instrument of choice is the Bagpipe. In fact, Miraric has carried and played the same bagpipe since it was gifted to him at a young age.
The Bagpipe
Miraric's Bagpipe is of high quality elven design. The bag is made of two layers, the inner is made out of cured deer hide (leather) with the outer fabric being made of red-dyed silk velvet. In other words, there are two bags. The inner leather bag is to trap as much air as it can efficiently, with the velvet outer layer being used for comfort. Life in Music
Miraric is a crowd-pleaser. He loves it when the taverns are packed with dancing merry drunkards. Even though he would consider himself a small-time Bard, he has won the hearts of many during his time playing music at the Hungry Angel. However, Miraric had always needed to share his music with more people. Every year in the Golden Apple, a competition is held; the Battle of the Bards. Musicians from across the island try to win, as the prize is the entry of the prestigious college, the Arts College of Highvalley. Students and graduates of this college will get opportunities most bards won't get, as the college would give the best bards of Highvalley entry into the noble courts. This was what Miraric dreamed of since he was a young boy.Crime
His dreams were put on hold or perhaps cancelled, as Miraric faces judgement by Appley's guard. Appley has a problem with theft. It is rumoured that the Circuit has many fences across the town, smuggling and peddling stolen goods.
