WorldEmber Prep 2024 - Returning Home
At last, I am back :)
I am glad to be back at it at last. I won't go into the exact details here (that is for January, when its time to reflect and read, most likely), but 2024 has been a doozie of a year. I intentionally took a break after summer camp, but WorldEmber is home in a weird way (more on that in a second) and I really cant let this one slip by without at least trying. And so, I here I am.

Initial Thoughts

Each year, WorldEmber marks my anniversary of really becoming active on WorldAnvil as a whole.
I started out in 2022, so this is my 2 year badge, and boy what a year 2 it has been. I became more active in my chapter, the Seven Tomes, I received multiple nominations at the worldbuilding awards and I started yet more worlds to build in.
One of which I plan on diving into in earnest this December

Homework
Last Minute - Pledging and zoning in
This time around its more collaboration than ever. The Tomie Minecraft Server launched this year and in true worldbuilding fashion, we immediately went and started brewing up lore for it. I have plans to make a primer for the world, and to polish its appearance as well as getting initial core concepts and articles down.Right now there is just a bunch of nothing to be seen yet, but if you want to be among the first to learn more, you can follow the world here
The Pledge
Last WorldEmber I aimed for 10k words and more importantly, I didnt burn out completely afterwards, and so I will aim for the same again: I pledge to write 10,000 new words of original worldbuilding during December! (see the header above ;P) Lets get to it! (Oh and of course I will be competing for the special categories once more ^^)Time to get cracking
Im a bit late to the party, so Ill have to do this the quick and dirty way...Lets make a todo list, shall we?
- Choose an area of focus
- Create the meta
- Add art and a short description to the homepage
- Make Primer
- Prepare TJs google sheet
- Take a breather
Ill put my thoughts/notes here
- Ill first do the Primer, then core articles, like PC descriptions and Area Descriptions

Oh, a whole new world, I'm very excited to see what you'll write. The header is very promising. I wish you a fantastic WorldEmber and lots of fun.
