Sigurd
"The Strong", "Dragon-Killer", "Captain of the Seven", "General Sigurd"
Perhaps no man defines the Age of Heroes quite like Sigurd. Born a son of the death goddess and a warrior, Sigurd was raised among the legendary War-Crows since childhood. He fought in not one, but all three of the Age of Hero wars. Joining the Abyssal Expedition at age 23 as a boy and finishing the War of Heroes as a general. Sigurd lived well into the age of Arcane, but took his own life when he saw that it would be the end of Heroes.- Head Curator Eli, Elite Scholar of The Age of Heroes.

Personal history
Sigurd was born into War. An aasimar, gifted with extraordinary long life he was born in the end of the Primal Age and lived all the way to seeing the Age of Heroes end. Sigurds father was quite old when the boy appeared, he himself had participated in the Razing of Sasgard. Sigurd was sent to live amoung the War-Crows and when it came time for the Abyssal Expedition, It was only natural Sigurd would join them. Sigurd was slow to prove himself in battle, it is well documented that he was fearful of battle. It was only when Baldr, the leader of the Expedition, recognized Sigurd as a half brother did it change. Under Baldrs watchful eye Sigurd grew into his own potential, even wounding a demon duke with his blade. As they returned to the surface, Baldr granted Gram over to Sigurd. Many years later Sigurd picked up Gram to fight the Draconic wars. Now a well respected Hero he was given a position of respect, one he used to convince a Leonia Queen to allow him to form the Sevenmen, with him as leader. It was under his guidance that they entered the Abyss once more and banished Tiamat. Finally, when Hero turned upon Hero Sigurd fought on the side of the defenceless. Sigurd was one of the five Generals demanding that Heroes form a stable organization rather than be free to act on there own. What Sigurd did not want is what Mordenkainen brought about. The death or reduction of all Heroes. Out of respect Sigurd was not slain by Mordenkainen but it didn't matter. Sigurd took his own life rather than live in this new world.
