Arkansia

I knew she must be mine the second I saw her. She was beautiful, her long spiraling towers, the pearl white of her walls, the pale red of her streets that I would walk so often, looking out at her silhouette. I loved Sythen like the wife I had lost and I did everything I could to keep her safe.

Arkansia is the political capital of Havenmere and while the other countries may roll their eyes, Arkansian citizens will insist that they know who runs the world. But even Arkansian citizens respect that the word of the Circle is final. Still hosting that organization holds some benefits. Arkansia is wealthier than a great many nations, its capital city being a primary provider of magical supplements (Wands, weapons, scrolls, spells, etc...) to the world. Mostly of the surrounding Arkansian towns, however, are that of humble farmers. Making their pay through their hands and being, mostly, honest folk. Arkansia is also headquarters to several guilds, Chief among them being the Boros militia, the Dimir (The thieves guild), the Azerous Council, and of course the Circle  

Religion

  Arkansia avoided declaring a national religion during the Arcane Age but in recent years has grown more and more friendly with Abadar. The most extreme sign of this is the rise of the Azerous guild, a cult of Abadar that has infiltrated the political

Demographics

Arkansia is primarily human but several other races are also represented. Orcs, Elves, Ratfolk, and Halflings are common in the city of Sythen whilst Dwarves, Oreads, Strix make the western mountains their home. Most city dwellers of Arkansia are wealthy, in addition the villagers of the surrounding towns also do quite well.

Government

Arkansia is run by a monarchy. This monarch has a court of advisors and splits the country into fiefdoms, assigning lordship to who he pleases.

Industry & Trade

Arkansia creates much of the Magical suppliments of the world (Wands, items, spells, etc...) Arkansia is also a major agricultural force.

Guilds and Factions

The Boros, Dimir guilds call Arkansia there headquarters. In addition, The Circle of Eight also call Arkansia home.

History

Founded by a follower of Morrigan, Arkansia was not relevant for most of the worlds history. It grew in prominence when Mordenkein chose to make it his base of operations. Since then it as been a dominate force. Its rapid growth only begun to stagnate when the Arcane Age ended

Geography

Arkansia is made up of long rolling plains and hills with the occasional tame forest. To its West it brags of a large mountian range.
