Grand Shiga

"Grand Shiga. What a place it is! The city of endless meat where all goblins live forever. Where fighting is for fun and not for things. Where the walls are lined with gold and the cellars are loaded with all the stolen booze you could ever need. Where every goblin has their very own fresh water stream to piss into.   We used to know where this place was but it’s been lost. Why didn’t the older ones write more stuff down? Us young ones gotta go out and hunt and die. They’ve got nothing else better to do so they should keep to writing and all the other boring crap."

Goblinkind knows of a place from ancient tales passed down generation to generation. It speaks of a land of plenty where there was never a lack of food. Where you could gallivant through a vast sea of trees to new hunting grounds or build your own private hut.   Although the tales are very vague and so obviously embellished, it is still believed that this city must exist although it must be incredibly well hidden. The stories talk of grand forests but goblinkind are acutely aware that the forests of the surface belong to the elves. The goblins have attempted to breach into the forests on the surface but it’s like running into a blender of elven blades. The goblins have come to the conclusion that their city of promise must not be on the known surface, but instead it must be on a different surface. The goblins believe that there is another surface that they can burst through. One that’s deep underground. If enough digging and clawing at stone is done, eventually they believe that they will break through into this fabled land of plenty. The goblins are sure of this and do not shy away from acting upon their conviction. As such, most concerted efforts made by the goblins are tinted with the desire to find lands that they are free to pillage and raid at their leisure.
