Personal history

Reiner was born in a poor town in Acrya to his mother. It was hard growing up for him due to his poverty and his mother being the only person he was with, this led to strong feelings of self responsibilty, as his mother was never truly fit to raise him. At the age of 12, his mother sold him to the Band of Markanth for a goat.
The following years, Reiner trained in combat and on the battlefield to learn how to battle and wield a sword. Reiner was never truly educated on what he was fighting for, but as he traveled he learned about the world around himself, and taught himself to read and write through books and other proses he stole. He eventually found himself to enjoy poems and art, which led him to write about his time in war, and cope with the abandonment he felt from his mother.
He also eventually met some of the other boys in the Band of Markanth and made some close connections that lasted years. He battled with his brothers and eventually they all became akin to a family. He learned to hate war deeply, and resented his mother for selling him away into it. He learned about Acrya from the books he read and resented his home country as well. It was run by war hungry barons that wanted more land, money, and to rule over everything. They didnt care for their soldiers either, so Markanth had to survive off of the land, which taught Reiner lots about the natural world around him too. Years went by with battle and death, and Reiner eventually was captured in the Battle of Bastague. Taken prisoner by Lithonia, and put into slavery, where he resides now.
