Ademar and the Bird

Ademar

was a knight renowned for their beauty. No woman, nor man could match their shining glittering locks, the color of hazelnut. Or their bright eyes, the same shade as summer life. Nor could any man match Ademar in bladelock, lest he wanted bloodshed before his first step.
They seemed perfect in every way. Yet Ademar in truth was unhappy, unfulfilled.
"I am perfect in skin, yet I am flawed in heart, in truth, I am naught." Ademar wailed over their failure of character.
In a nearby tree, a bird heard this commotion and, of course, as all good birds of copper crown do, it swooped down to help.
"Human, you are crestfallen, may I ask why?"
"Men doth see me as beautiful, and they fear my blade, but they doth not see mine true self! I am a brave knight, renowned in every land I travel to, but in truth, I am delicate, and I require the comfort of anothers word."
"I see you my friend, I am similar. I am a beautiful creature, loved and sought for my feathers. Yet no man speaketh to me. You are the first. We are both small in truth, but we are beautiful, our souls desire connection, but we are treasured as prizes, not as beings."
As Ademar rubbed their eyes clear of tears, they smiled a true smile. "You are wise dear friend, may we meet here every eve, and speak again, to embrace eachothers word as friends."
And in years, the two friends met again and again, night after night without fail. They decided to make a land of truth, of seeing another for themselves, of acceptance and love of virtues and stone truth. Dubbed Lithonia, they attracted people of similar truth and love, and made a land for themselves, where they belonged.
