Rufus (Roof-us)
Legends speak of an unnamed gargoyle who helps the people of Jigwal from the shadows. Unexplainable occurrences are usually granted to this figure, an imp-like body of a creature with the head of a dog comparable to a malamute. Whether it's keeping traders clear of monsters or protecting the streets at night, a lot of value has been placed onto this figure, even making emblems and symbols based on the gargoyle's face. The choice is confusing since dogs of that type are only found in Berg, but it has never stopped Jigwal from taking pride in it.
In reality, the recently named Rufus has a lack of any ability to protect anyone. He lacks any physical prowess and does not have offensive magic, though he can cast spells. His true power comes from his advanced knowledge and tool building; his ability to find practical uses for seemingly random things has allowed him to act as a guerilla defender at best and a trapper at worst.
Rufus acts as one of The Guardians of Xannioba, representing Jigwal in all affairs, but acting as a leader in trying to keep each guardian in mind when consulting them. He acts as the embodiment of intelligence, gathering information from the ages he had existed before the formation of the Guardians or the Diplomatic League.
