Sintree

Sintrees are large unique immortal trees that are made from the bodies and souls of those who misuse Druidic Magic after swearing a binding magical oath to Halcyon.   If an oathsworn Druid uses their powers to kill a sentient being for the purposes of amassing resources beyond what one or one's community could use, revenge, or sport, they are transformed into a Sin Tree.   For Dryads, Sin Trees are flowering trees. For Humans, Sin Trees are columns of flesh. For Prisms, they are elongated statues between tree and person. Every species has its own sintree, even if some are similar to others.    An Awakened Sintree has the memories of the former druid, but not the personality - they are a prison for the person's soul, not a manifestation. An oathbreaker druid turned into a Sintree can only go to their respective afterlife is the Sintree is destroyed. To be trapped in one is a form of torment.
