Silence
Silence is a mixed arcane-divine spell available to Bards, Clerics, and Rangers. It is commonly understood as a Bard spell, given their association with sound and greater prominence in magical institutions.
Potha Sarana is able to cast this spell.
This spell creates total magical silence in a 40-foot-across sphere centered on a point of the caster's choosing. No words can be heard in this space and no spells can be cast by traditional means. Certain magicians, such as those who can employ Subtle Spell casting, can circumvent this restriction. Any sound-based magical attacks, such as any that deal Thunder Damage, are nullified within the Silenced space.
This effect lasts until dismissed, until the caster's concentration is disrupted, or until 10 minutes have passed.
