Olkum

Olkum is one of the archetypal spirits that might be understood as a 'God' in the Sunekan religion. They are a fox that acts as a benevolent trickster who can walk between the worlds of the living and dead. They stole fire from the underworld and tricked spiders into teaching mortals weaving, and create ghosts from their laughter or sorrow.   Olkum is associated with some lesser spirits such as Toltao (the essential living fox, also called Red Fox) and Ixolim (The Masked One). Olkum is also associated with the Ruxa spirit known as Olkipili: a forest spirit that takes the form of a fox that, if it makes eye contact with you, speaks in a dreadful voice your own destined last words.   Olkum is most venerated by the Keepers of Olkum. Olkum is venerated in many small relevant moments and places, but is most widely celebrated during the winter solstice holiday of Umzil.    Olkum is a symbolic entity and does not exist as a discrete immortal being in this world. The closest one could get would be the Olkipili or The Masked One Automata, but those don't line up with the specific Sunekan beliefs around Olkum.
