Hewedi Manuhel

Hewedi Manuhel, also known as HM or Wedi, is a well known personality in the Khilaian Isles and March Kingdom of Arashoka. She loves controversy and scandal and seems to make a game out of taunting and disrespecting mainstream sensibilities. She is also well-educated, articulate, erudite, and clever, which makes her taunting contrarianism infuriating for her enemies.   Hewedi is a philosopher and author aligned with the Libertaine Party and is a member of the prime branch of Clan Manuhel. She was born into politics and power and spends her time using her platform to project radical anti-authority opinions. To Hewedi, every person is their own country. She despises governments, institutions, organized religion, borders, regulations, prohibitions, and charities. She often argues for a return to a pristine state of nature favoring the industrious and the capable, where governments and institutions are organized as minimilistically as possible (or perhaps not even present). She is a fan of the idea of 'rational economic actors' and 'rational economic choice' and sees most evil as born from inefficient and controlling authorities.   Hewedi is more reasonable than she lets on, but she simply adores the attention from saying the unspeakable. To Hewedi, any speech that is banned or frowned upon must be said simply to reinforce the freedom to say it. She often insults people's religions and families, compares charitable efforts to slave raids, defends piracy, and makes moral arguments for selling children, because to her these positions are necessary to have defended for a free society. How committed she is to some of these fringe beliefs can vary. She is a zealot of fringe politics but she is also a spoiled brat who revels in provoking anger from stoic and reasonable authority figures.   Hewedi is also a bit of a flirt. She loves attention from those few people she respects and loves the scandal that comes with whirlwind dalliances. She sees herself as an outlaw genius and needs constant validation for her self image, from her friends, her lovers, and from her enemies.   There is more to HM than her politics, but she does her best to conceal that.   Hewedi is an ally of the Lunar God Emesh and is the patron of the God Squad in the Khilaian Isles at the moment.
