Ethereal Plane
The Ethereal Plane is not often recognized as its own plane of existence. It is a sliver of space that overlaps entirely with the Material Plane, where Ghosts, spirits, and other incorporeal beings reside.
The Ethereal plane is a ghostly world that shows images from the material plane but has none of the material permanency. Colors act strangely, as does magic, in the ethereal plane.
The Ethereal Plane is under-studied and poorly understood, as it isn't enough of its own discrete place to be recognized as something that can be studied. It has been theorized that the ethereal plane is more of a threshhold of the material plane rather than a "true" plane of existence - in which case, teleportation and portal magic may be more effective there.
