Dream Contact

Each of the ten Lunar Gods in the Lunar Pantheon take turns projecting their influence into the world for one week in a great endless cycle. While a Lunar God's influence is active, they are able to use their Dream Contact ability: to enter the dreams of sleeping mortals to speak with them.    Unlike the Divine Contact ritual, which allows a mortal to have a clear waking discussion with a Lunar God, the Dream Contact ability is imperfect for communication. Mortal imaginations can warp the messages of the Gods and memories of the dream often fade upon waking.    The primary purpose of the Dream Contact is to prepare potential Paladin Oaths with mortals: while these dreams may be unstable most of the time, they are entirely lucid and memorable when they are about one's paladin oath or potential oath. This also makes the Dream Contact ability more useful for paladins, as Lunar Gods can consistently impart guidance and advice as long as it relates to the oath in some way.
