Celestial Blood
Celestial Blood is what rains from the sky during The Day of Blood, that time of the year when blood rains all across the continents of Desmia and Izekra.
Celestial Blood makes any crop that it rains on inedible - ruining harvests in an instant. It is associated with a lot of other cursed events that occur during the Day of Blood.
Celestial Blood is always red human blood, rather than orangey sap or aquatic blue blood.
Orthodox Desmianism considers Celestial Blood to be cursed. They do not avoid the blood (and even dye things red to symbolize surviving the blood), but they generally avoid keeping it around.
Ishkibism and Alkara celebrate the Celestial Blood as a sacred substance, though Ishkibites tend to treat it with caution as a potentially dangerous one. Some Ishkibite rituals include a baptism with Celestial Blood, and blood is often collected in Blood-Cursed lands for use in Ishkibite rituals where blood does not rain. Other Ishkibites just add red dye to water and ceremonially make it "blood", though this is seen as less potent by many.
What happens if you try to use this blood in a transfusion or something similar? There are many unknowns around Celestial Blood.
