Bardic Inspiration

Bardic Inspiration is a subtle but potent element of Bardic Magic: the ability to quickly and subtly imbue another creature with magical potency, which can be used to better accomplish a brief task or action. This "inspiration" can manifest as luck, guidance, or even a slight change in reality. At its core, Inspiration is the most pure expression of bardic power - the ability to impose a vision of what should happen onto reality. This triumph of imagination over reality is key to Inspiration's versatility, as it can effectively aid just about any action.    Bardic traditions often have specialized uses of Inspiration. Some bards learn to use their Inspiration in reverse, to undermine a creature's attempts at doing something. Other bards learn to apply Inspiration to a harming effect, to allow it to better slay their enemies.
