The Green Songmaker
Haert was full of minstrels and bards. But none were alike to the Green Songmaker, for he was the very definition of a one-megg-band, just when you were focused on the megg in the corner playing the lute, the sound of a violin would appear behind you, and there he was again, but playing a different instrument. He had a gifted mind and was fond of magic as well as the musical arts, an thus he was able to create doppelgangers who would play alongside him. The nature of these duplicates were and still are an enigma among the peoples who saw and heard him, for they were not corporeal, their forms but a mere trick of the eye. If one were to wave their hand through them, they would turn misty and break apart like fog only to piece themselves back together again.
Legend tells of a time when he found himself in the Great Loftwater Festival. In the year of 889 he led what became the most famous barding event in Haert's history. Stories say he commanded a great orchestra, in front of the royal family no less. Even still, with all his skill and finesse, he grew old haveing never spoken a word to his audience. Rumour has it he has a wife and litter of his own, but he kept them as secret and unknown as his name. And some say he's still alive out there, sat in a rocking chair, plucking away at his favourite lute.
