Description
If we envision the Nephesh in TBT as being strands, or tentacles of a cylindrical, tapering volume, then one way to affect them is to use a volumetric carve out to deform them when a Fallen attacks.
Think of it as shooting a small explosive that the tentacle, that will explode to a certain volume of a sphere, and whatever the volume of that sphere is, it will be removed from the Nephesh strand where it hits.
For instance:
Tentacle/branch is 0.5m in diameter at to sphere/human in middle of the battlefield, and 0.1m in diameter at tip.
Fallen shoots a projectile that is 0.12m in explosion radius.
If the projectile hits near the tip, the radius will be enough to cut all the way through, severing that part of the Nephesh.
If the projectile hits near the core, it will take 4 hits to carve all the way through.
Reducing one strand of the Nephesh to zero could be a battle win condition, vs capturing all the points.
