Style
The NAPOX and SUPOX coexist in the same space and time, one visible, the other invisible to human eyes. To fully visualize this reality, the art style of the game will be two-fold, both elements cinematic in general.
NAPOX. The first style will be photorealistic, historically accurate, real-world depictions of people, places, things, and events.
SUPOX. The second style will be bible-based spiritual fantasy, bringing to life in unforgettable detail the unseen war and powers around us. The characters, world texture, effects, and events will all be seen through the lens of spiritual relevance and impact, with strong themes of light and dark related to different sides of the war and persistent battleground state, and special attention paid to the lighting and coloration of
Nephesh. Photorealism, logic-based, modeling, animation, and lighting will be attempted.
Desired effect
The primary goals of the art style are:
The coexistence of the two realms becomes an internalized reality for the player.
The player develops a desire to see and understand the unseen.
The power and magnitude of spiritual warfare register at the visual and visceral levels.
The visuals portray the game as an AAA-quality game, especially to the untrained eye.
Rewards for in-game progress and penalties for failure are a very visual experience, with healthy souls being fantastically beautiful and unhealthy ones disgusting.
Sins and fruits of the spirit will become recognizable by their appearance in the SUPOX.
