Pillar
Pillar is a heriditary title used in Exum. It is use for the highest ranking peers of the emperor not of the Imperial Family. The title is reserved for the head of the four tribes started by Makonnen, the Unifier for his three brothers and niece who helped him unify the tribes of the continent.
Duties
A pillar is looked at as the ultimate power in his region when the emperor is absent. They rule over any tribes of the Great Chieftaincy in their region and, along with the Regional Lion lead any armies against any threats internal or external.
